COUNT DAY

Posted Date: 9/29/25 (7:18 AM)

Count Day: Wednesday, Oct 1

Dear Patriot Families

Each year in Michigan, school districts are required to take an official “Count Day.” This day is one of the most important of the school year, as it determines the number of students enrolled and attending, which directly impacts how much funding Unionville-Sebewaing Area Schools will receive for the year. The 25-26 Fall Count Day is Wednesday, Oct 1st.

The state uses this enrollment count to calculate per-pupil funding. While the exact amount has not yet been finalized, our district’s ability to provide high-quality educational opportunities depends on every student being counted. Quite simply, every student’s presence on Count Day makes a difference for our schools.

We hope that we can have a great count day and have great attendance on Wednesday, October 1st.
